On April 29, 2022, Priest Alexey Kruchko the cleric of the Cathedral of St. Righteous Anna in Stolbtsi held a meeting with the students of the 5th grade of the Secondary School number 3.
The theme of the meeting was determined by a good Christian tradition, when during the Bright Week everyone can glorify the risen Savior with the ringing of chime.
In the format of an interactive lecture ,students got acquainted with the history and traditions of bells and bell ringing. The video material allowed students to visually familiarize themselves with riveting, beaters and their use. The history of the Tsar Bell (XVIII century), as well as a video review of the bell tower of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, which demonstrated the Easter ringing using the largest bell in Russia “Tsar Bell” (2003) was the most interesting.
Having heard about the basics of the bell-ringing art, the participants of the meeting were able to put into practice their knowledge of the gospel, ringing, chime and busting in the conditions of the bell tower of the cathedral.
At the end of the meeting, everyone took part in tea party, receiving festive Easter cakes as a souvenir.
