On January 11, 2024, a meeting “The Bright Holiday of Christmas” was held in the House of Spiritual Enlightenment of the parish of the Church of St. Mary of Egypt in Vileika as part of the republican charity event “From the bottom of my heart”. Alexander Alekseevich Rumak, Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Nationalities of the Republic of Belarus, attended the meeting with volunteers of the silver age and active parishioners of churches in the Vileysky district. The event was also attended by Archpriest Vyacheslav Vabishevich, dean of the Vileysky Church District, Lyudmila Mikhailovna Sleptsova, Deputy Chairman of the Vileysky District Executive Committee, Zhanna Vladimirovna Starodub, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs, Director of the Vileysky Territorial Center for Social Services Polina Alexandrovna Gonchar. The participants of the event discussed over tea the issues of helping people around them, shared their work experience. At the end of the meeting, Archpriest Vyacheslav presented Alexander Alekseevich with a gift in memory of visiting the church of St. Mary of Egypt and conducted a tour of the church.
