On April 3, 2022, in the 4th week of the Great Lent, the day of the memory of St. John the Ladder, celebrations were held in Slutsk on the occasion of the 410th anniversary of the death of the Holy Righteous Sophia, Princess of Slutsk.
The service was led by Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslav, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, co-officiated by Archbishop Anthony of Grodno and Volkovysk and Bishop Pavel of Molodechno and Stolbtsi.
The archpastors were served by the clergy of the Diocese of Slutsk and invited guests in holy orders.
The deaconess rank was headed by Protodeacon Andrey Samuilich.
After a special litany, the Patriarchal Exarch offered a prayer for the restoration of peace.
The sermon before Communion was delivered by the dean of the Kopylsky church district, rector of the parish of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Kopyl, Priest Andrey Evshel.
After the prayer of the intercession, the bishops and clergy celebrated the feast.
The celebrations ended with the laying of flowers at the monument to the Holy Righteous Sophia, Princess of Slutsk and the memorial sign “Kaplitsa Peramogi”.
