On June 12, 2024, the day of remembrance of the holy glorious and all-praiseworthy Apostles Peter and Pavel, Bishop Pavel of Molodechno and Stolbtsi held the Divine Liturgy in the Petro-Pavlovsky Church in the city of Uzda.
His Eminence was served by: Secretary of the Molodechno Diocese Archpriest Vitaly Bogdanenok, Economist of the Molodechno diocese Archpriest Vyacheslav Vabishevich, rector of the church Archpriest Grigory Cherepennikov, clergy of the Molodechno diocese.
The deacon’s rank was performed by Deacon Dmitry Yatsenko.
During the service, the following priests prayed: Chairman of the Uzden district Executive Committee Dmitry Anatolyevich Kolos, Deputy Chairman of the Uzden District Executive Committee Angelika Olegovna Gendarmova, participants of the republican bicycle race dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Cathedral of Belarusian Saints.
After a special litany, a prayer was held for the restoration of peace.
The sermon before communion was delivered by Archpriest Sergius Lepin.
After the dismissal of the Liturgy, Bishop Paveland the clergy serving him performed a procession and glorification of the feast.
At the end of the service, the ruling bishop congratulated the parishioners on the patronal feast and addressed words of edification.
Vladyka Pavel congratulated the communicants on receiving the Holy Mysteries of Christ and gave them all the archpastoral blessing.
Then the archpastor, clergy, members of the public, participants of the bike ride, residents of the city of Uzda took part in a memorial rally in Victory Park. As a sign of respect for those who died during the Great Patriotic War, the participants of the rally laid flowers at the obelisk and honored their memory with a minute of silence.
In conclusion, Vladyka Pavel took part in a festive meeting at the Palace of Culture of the Uzdensky district, where he congratulated the audience on the city day and presented the icon of the Apostles Peter and Pavel to the chairman of the Uzdensky district executive committee.
